The Fawn Lakes yurt is the highest and most remote of all our yurts.

Located high in a cirque at the head of Ruby Creek, this yurt offers some

of the Hinsdale Haute Route's best back country skiing.

The terrain varies from gladed trees to a pristine corniced basin. Fawn

Lakes is truly one of the finest huts in Colorado.

Two routes ascend to the Fawn Lakes yurt.  From the Colorado Trail yurt

the route is about 4 miles and around 1000' of elevation gain.  The second

is from Pearl Lakes and is about 6 miles with 1800' of elevation gain. Both

routes to Fawn Lakes have been rated as Intermediate / Advanced and

avalanche danger is minimal to moderate

The Fawn Lakes Yurt sleeps 6 people.
