Wilson Memorial Yurt is an easy 1.25 miles from State Highway 149 south

of Lake City.

Completely re-built with a new insulated deck, the Wilson Yurt will provide

an excellent destination for novice back country skiers or snowshoers.

The new location has great views of Lake San Cristobal and the Lake Fork

valley, Sunshine Peak and the other alpine peaks across the valley, plus

views of Lake City.  Located just one and one quarter mile from the trail

head on a wide and regularly groomed trail, with no avalanche danger, it is

a good destination for families.

The new Wilson Yurt is 16 feet in diameter and sleeps up to 6 people.

first folks to stay there so the furnishing are a little sparse.  We have since

added a two sink kitchen unit and the deck in front of the yurt is completed.
