The Rambouillet (locally pronounced "ram-boo-lay") yurt is

located just below the Continental Divide in the northwest

corner of Rambouillet Park at an elevation of 11,640 feet.

It is 3.5 to 5 miles from the highway 149 with elevation gains

of 500 feet to 1700 feet depending on the route chosen.  Four

routes of varied lengths and skill levels are possible.

Avalanche conditions are minimal and easily avoided, however

minimal danger does not mean no danger.  Travelers should

always be aware of local avalanche conditions.

The Rambouillet yurt routes have been rated at the beginner

to intermediate level, depending on the route chosen.  This

yurt sleeps up to 8 people. Guide and sherpa services are

available.
